MANOA’s mission is to
- foster a sense of shared community among peoples of Asia, the Pacific, and the Americas
- encourage tolerance, respect, and cooperation through international art and literature
- make readers in the U.S. aware that their heritage includes significant contributions from people whose origins are in Asia and the Pacific
- publish international work in English translation
- support innovative education.
